Q&A With Houston Based Hip Hop Artist Billyracxx

For all the readers who don’t know, is Billyracxx your real name or your artist name?

Billyracxx is my real name

How long have you been making music? Any specific influences?

I’ve been making music for just 5 years. My influences range from Lil Wayne to Elon Musk, to Lady Gaga, to Busta Rhymes, to Andre 3k to old classic rock videos.

What city you from? How is the independent Hip Hop scene there?

I’m from Eaitinville, Florida and moved to Houston when I was about 15. The rap scene in Houston is super deep and cultured. Obviously, there is a growing underground scene and the internet gives that growing light.

Congrats on your latest project “Butterflies, Pt.1″ EP” which we just got done conducting a review on and its dropping soon. Break down the project in a few words.for us. Also, who designed the cover art?

No one knows what a Butterfly sounds like, but they’re so beautiful. Even though most people don’t know what a butterflies sound like, you can always notice when they come around or fly past you. That’s exactly who I am to the music industry, but now I’m trying to make sure people know my sound.

Your video game is clearly on a whole higher level compared to most up and coming artists!! Have all your videos been this dope? Or has it been work in progress?

I’ve never looked at music as only the music if that makes sense. I knew I was way more than rap, so my visual expression has always been apart of who I am as an artist. At this point I’m chasing vibes. So whether it’s with sound or visuals or fashion or my other endeavors I will always get these vibes off.

How are fans and supporters reacting to your project?

People going crazy, they keep asking when Part 2 is dropping. (5/1)

What are a few different moves your making for 2020 when it comes to your music career?

UK tour.

Any future collabs or projects you working on for 2020?

Yea I’m going crazy, literally working with some of the next superstart from the states to London to Spain. (Laioung, Beam, Cecelio, Teezotouchdown) just to name a few.

Our highlight question, what your definition of underground hip hop?

Where can people find more of your music other than Spotify?
